Above The Law - flag works collaboration with Ivo Molino

Photographs from Phil America’s series Above The Law which documents the subculture of graffiti on passenger trains around the world. Overlaid over the images are a frame-by-frame animated illustration by Italian illustrator Ivo Molino, all of which are printed onto 31 flags.

The series of works is another collaboration between the artist and illustrator and was created in 2022. The photos are shot over the course of 10 years all around the globe and feature photographs with a layer of America’s color red used in

The works were shown in Germany in 2022 as part of an art festival.
